Pole Dancing Olympians

The strip club Mainstay Pole Dancing is already known for is sensual moves and its highly athletic side..but are they headed to the olympics?
A group of pole dancing advocates are hoping for a 'test' event in 2012 and a more advanced pitch four years after that in the Rio olympics according to The Associated Press. The leader of this Olympic push is KT Coates, a prominent pole dancer and director of Vertical Dance from England. "After a great deal of feedback from the pole-dance community, many of us decided that it's about time pole fitness is recognized as a competitive sport, and what better way for recognition than to be part of the 2012 Olympics held in London," she said in a petition she's preparing for organizers of the London Olympics. At the moment her petition has about 4,000 signatures, she is hoping for another 1,00 or more. Advocated of pole dancing said other even more uncommon sports have gotten the approval of the International Olympic Committee. Tug of War was an early Olympic medal contest.
Pole-dance enthusiasts are hopeful about their chances to go for the gold.
Soooo. who knows whats gonna happen in 2012..
Just so all you horny guys know, Pole fitness is nothing close to the strippers at clubs, by the end of the performance all the girls will have their clothes on.
"Now, when you talk about it you don't hear 'like a stripper' anymore," Traskos said. "You hear things like, 'Oh, my friend takes classes for fitness' or 'Yes, I've seen it on 'Oprah'."
